Smart lock company Level is set to expand its product lineup, starting in January 2022, with the introduction of its first separate keypad. This new product adds to their existing portfolio of smart locks, including the Level Lock, which includes a touch control option to unlock the deadbolt by simply touching the housing around the lock itself. Alongside that is the original model, now renamed the Level Bolt that only provides the internals for the smart lock, not the exterior housing.
Details for the keypad are scant at present, but according to the company’s website, the new keypad will work with all of the company’s lock models. As with most products of this type, the keypad will allow you to create and share codes, that can be used on an ongoing basis, or set up to only work for specific times of the day, or even days of the week, as well as make them temporary.
The keypad will be weatherproof, although there’s no IP rating listed at present, and it features a backlit LED display for when it’s dark.
There’s no mention of how it connects to the locks, but considering the lock uses Bluetooth for its HomeKit connection, chances are high it will use Bluetooth for the keypad to connect to the lock as well.
You can check out the company’s range of products on their Amazon Store.
