Audio specialist Arylic has today unveiled the latest product in its increasingly large portfolio of amplification and speaker products, with the announcement of the H50 Wireless Amplifier.
The H50 builds upon its other products, namely the Arylic A50+ amplifier we reviewed last year (written review HERE, Video HERE), with an amazing bunch of features, not least of which is compatibility with AirPlay 2.
The H50 gives you the option to connect a multitude of devices, in an array of ways, including an Optical input, Phono in, Line In, DAC, USB, ARC, and even Bluetooth 5.2 APTX – which allows two Bluetooth devices to connect at once, like wireless headphones, or WiFi (2.4 or 5.0GHz), whilst output options allow users to connect a subwoofer, and passive speakers, with the option to switch between 8 or 4 Ω. Even though it can connect to your home network via WiFi, there’s also an ethernet port for a more stable wired connection.
The front panel features a 2.23-inch OLED panel, alongside a traditional volume dial and on/off toggle switch, and comes in at a weight of just under 32 ounces or 901g. For audio file formats you might play from a NAS or thumb drive, the H50 supports FLAC, MP3, AAC, AAC+, ALAC, and APE. For speaker power, you’re looking at a 2 x 50W with a 4Ω load at 24V, or 2 x 30W with an 8Ω load at 24V.
Priced at US$399.00, this is not exactly a cheap purchase, but given all the input and output options available, alongside built-in support for almost every available streaming service, it certainly offers a lot compared to its competitors in this field. From now until June 25th, you can save 20% off the list price when you pre-order via the company’s website.
