Canadian smart lighting specialists Nanoleaf, have today announced the Nanoleaf Lines Squared smart LED light bars that take the existing Nanoleaf Lines but add a slight twist (or angle perhaps…). Lines Squared give users the ability to connect the back-lit light bars at 90º angles using square Mounting Connectors to create linear or ‘squared’ designs to set up clean lines around places like door frames, windows or even corners, or just create their own designs as per other Nanoleaf products.
Additionally, users can also combine 90º and 60º angles (from the original Lines product) together into a singular Lines layout that allows even more creative designs than before.
Nanoleaf Lines feature a full suite of smart controls and automations allowing users to truly customise their home’s lighting with dynamic scenes via the Nanoleaf App with 16M+ RGBW colour options, upload and download thousands of free Scenes, animate the lights with the Rhythm Music Visualizer, use Screen Mirror to replicate what’s on your computer monitor, or set Schedules for automated lighting and more.
Designed to be future-proof, Lines Squared also acts as a Thread Border Router, much in the same vein as some of their other wall lighting products, enabling other Thread-enabled smart home devices to operate on a Thread network. Lines Squared can be controlled via app or voice using the Nanoleaf App and is also compatible with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings. There’s no word on Matter at this time, but it’s still early.
Lines Squared is available for pre-order globally on November 7th, 2022 at go.nanoleaf.me. Lines Squared is available in Smarter Kits (4PK) for US$99.99/CA$129.99 and Expansion Packs (3PK) for US$69.99/CA$99.99.
