Sweden-based smart home company Flic, mostly known for their tiny buttons, have introduced the first Matter-certified controller that users can customise. This plug-and-play device allows individuals and businesses to control Matter-enabled devices with flexibility and ease.
Using Flic Script, a JavaScript-based API available on the Flic Hub LR, users can program controllers to interact with any Matter device. The scripting capability enables custom commands and advanced setups tailored to specific needs based on various parameters or events.
According to Oskar Öberg, CTO of Flic, this innovation offers smart home users greater control, enabling them to create customised Matter-compatible environments directly from a browser.
The device is also scalable for business applications through Flic’s Device Manager, which supports remote deployment, management, and configuration of controllers across multiple locations. This makes it suitable for industries such as hospitality, retail, and office management seeking to streamline operations.
