Aqara TVOC Sensor Now Available on Amazon.de

One of the many Aqara products on display at yesterday’s Aqara event was the TVOC sensor, alongside a new contact sensor and motion sensor. This multi-sensor has actually been available in Mainland China for a few months now but has finally surfaced on Amazon.de, as first spotted by our friends over at smartapfel.de.

The Aqara TVOC Air Quality Monitor, which is designed to measure VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), as opposed to PM2.5 levels, is what the QingPing Air Monitor Lite is designed for. VOCs are gasses that tend to come from chemicals used in many products that you might find in the house, including paint, household cleaning products, or even the varnish used on wooden floors or furniture, all of which can be harmful to your health if you’re consistently exposed to them, without proper ventilation. The monitor also measures temperature and humidity levels, so it basically functions as the Eve Room does, which coincidentally also uses an E-Ink display.

The TVOC Sensor is currently priced at €48.90, on amazon.de, although it should be noted that this listing doesn’t appear to be an official Aqara seller, and so it’s entirely possible that this device is only designed to work with the Mainland China server, so if having this on the EU server is important to you, it may be good to double-check with the seller first.

We’ve had the TVOC sensor here for a few months now, and will soon post a full review.
