the Aqara Gateway E1 is Aqara’s smallest Zigbee gateway so far, at just the typical size of a mobile WiFi router. The E1 supports both Apple and Mi home platform platforms, as well as Aqara’s own app. Whilst it’s primarily a Zigbee 3.0 gateway, it also has a fully functioning WiFi repeater function to support up to 2 separate WiFi devices, whilst also relaying your main router’s WiFi signal, so the E1 can be used to reach areas that are just out of reach of your main router, like the front door for example.
