Sensibo today announced the Sensibo Blaze, a smart TRV (Thermostatic Radiator Valve) for the European market, claiming it to be the world’s first TRV Controller with Indoor Air Quality Monitoring. The Blaze consists of hardware and Sensibo’s mobile application that supports Matter for seamless interoperability. The new product optimises energy usage with AI-powered smart features set to transform the way indoor heating is managed, ushering in a new era of energy efficiency and comfort.
The Blaze utilises cloud computing that processes more than 1.2M HVAC actions a day. Sensibo’s cloud measures the energy usage of the heating device by using the temperature and humidity measurements gathered from the room environment. Sensibo’s algorithms have access to billions of daily climate measurements, the user’s actions and weather conditions. The result is an energy saving average of 20%, both for the energy bill and the world’s climate.
As the Sensibo Blaze comes with Indoor Air Quality Monitoring, it allows the device to detect and quantify indoor pollutants such as CO₂ and TVOC, combining them with humidity and temperature to calculate an indoor air quality score. The proprietary PureBoost system interconnects all Sensibo products into a seamless ecosystem, allowing devices to collaborate harmoniously.
The integration of OpenAI’s ChatGPT enhances Sensibo Blaze’s user experience by suggesting personalized recommendations based on individual behaviour patterns. This includes automated schedules aligned with user preferences and Climate React personalised suggestions. The Sensibo Blaze further stands out with its AI and ML capabilities, offering smart statistics that enable profound learning and optimization. Matter is the driving force behind Sensibo’s Blaze design, ensuring seamless interoperability and platform independence. With Sensibo Blaze, users can effortlessly control their smart home devices from any platform of choice while embracing the cutting-edge potential of Matter.
With the unveiling of the Sensibo Blaze at IFA Berlin today, the product is slated for official purchase release in Q4 2023. Remote control functionality via the mobile app is augmented by full compatibility with voice assistants such as Google Assistant, Alexa, Siri, and Apple HomeKit.
